Never before has humanity, as a society, had a responsibility like the current one to try to preserve our planet.

An important part of this responsibility falls on companies, as the business fabric is the engine of change towards a more sustainable world with less polluting emissions.

For this reason, CPOnet decided to create the Alcance 3.0 Awards as a tribute to all those companies that develop the best collaboration with their strategic suppliers in the search for the reduction of Greenhouse Gas emissions.

The 2nd Edition of the Alcance 3.0 Awards will recognize 5 categories:

Comprehensive Scope 3 Reduction Strategy

This category recognizes companies that have developed and implemented comprehensive strategies to reduce all sources of Scope 3 emissions. These strategies not only cover direct and indirect emissions but also include all emissions in the value chain, from suppliers to end product use. Companies will be particularly valued for their holistic approach to integrating sustainability into every aspect of their operations, demonstrating a firm and consistent commitment to reducing their carbon footprint.

Innovation in Supply Chain Emission Reduction

This award recognizes the most innovative initiatives that have achieved significant reductions in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions. Companies competing in this category have introduced advanced technologies, disruptive processes, or new business models that not only reduce emissions but also set new industry standards. Innovation can range from developing more sustainable new products to implementing more efficient and less polluting production methods.

Supplier Engagement

This category is designed to recognize companies that have achieved exceptional engagement with their suppliers in implementing sustainable practices and reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions. This award focuses on the strategic collaboration and joint efforts these companies have established with their suppliers to achieve a more sustainable and efficient value chain.

Collaboration and Strategic Partnerships

This award recognizes companies that have achieved exceptional collaboration with any agents involved in their value chain, aimed at reducing overall emissions. The creation of strategic alliances and the implementation of programs or actions that seek to maximize the efficiency and sustainability of the various processes involved are valued. Companies that excel in this category demonstrate that cooperation and joint efforts can lead to significant advancements in reducing the global carbon footprint.

Resilience and Adaptability

Directed at companies that have demonstrated exceptional leadership and resilience in implementing their emission reduction plans. This category rewards those who have faced significant challenges and persisted in their efforts to decarbonize their operations. Leadership is measured both by the effective implementation of policies and practices that overcome operational and market barriers, and by the ability to inspire and guide others.

Communication and social awareness

This award recognizes companies that have effectively communicated their strategies and achievements in reducing emissions and, in the process, raised awareness among third parties of the importance of everyone's commitment. It focuses on transparency and the ability to inform all stakeholders clearly and convincingly, including employees, customers, investors, and the general community. Companies in this category use various platforms and media to share their progress and foster a culture of sustainability.
